Rules

The player and the dealer compete to make the best hand. Card values are as follows:

• Ace – 1 point
• 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 – Card value points
• 10,J,Q,K – 0 points

If the player makes a hand between 0 and 5 points they are given another card. Any hand higher than 6 is a stand. If the player only has 2 cards the dealer must act on the value of his first 2 cards. However if the player draws a third card the following rules apply:

• If the player drew with 2 or 3 the banker draws with 0-4 and stands with 5-7
• If the player drew with a 4 or 5 the banker draws with 0-5 and stands with 6-7
• If the player drew with a 6 or 7 then the banker draws with 0-6 and stands with 7
• If the player drew an 8 the banker draws with 0-2 and stands with 3-7
• If the player drew with A, 9, 10 the banker draws with 0-3 and stands with 4-7

Bet Returns

Expect the following returns on the standard Baccarat bets:

• Player wins - returns 1:1
• Banker wins - returns 0.95:1 (5% house commission)
• Tie between hands - returns 8:1
